Instructions

Your site username

When you upload your 4D scan to our website, you’ll be prompted to enter email addresses of friends and family to notify them that they can view your video online.

They will receive an automated email telling them that XXX has uploaded their baby scan video.  The XXX is your site username, for this reason we recommend that you choose your full name as a username so they know who the automated email is from.

Please note, we never send unsolicited email to you or anyone else

Video tags

Following your scan video upload, you’ll have the option to add ‘Tags’ to the video; these help users search the site to locate specific videos.

We suggest you enter (a) the names of the parents and (b) the baby’s name as Tags, so that friends and relatives can find the video by performing a keyword search.

Is your baby scan video in the correct format?

Video files must be in a suitable format (files must be in .flv, .wmv, .asf, .avi, .mov, .3gp, .mpg, .mpeg, or .mp4 format) and less than 100MB in size.

How to convert your scan video using Windows Movie Maker

1 Click the ‘Import Media’ button, click the all files option and explore the folders on the baby scan DVD.

You are looking for the main video file, which will be much larger than other files on the disk (right click mouse and select properties). The video file is likely to be several hundred MB.

When you have identified the relevant file import it into Movie Maker.

2 Drag the imported clip onto the storyboard (bottom left) as shown below.

3 Click the Publish Movie icon. Work through the menu steps and when you reach the Choose the Settings for Your Movie screen, select the compress option and compress the file to 100MB.

Your baby scan video has now been saved in a format suitable for publishing to the website.
